Dr Hannah Tonkin is a Legal Adviser at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). She also teaches International Law at the University of Oxford and she is a barrister at Garden Court Chambers, London. In the past, she worked as a lawyer at the SCSL, ICTY, ICTR and ICC. She holds a BCL and DPhil from the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar. Her book "State Control over Private Military and Security Companies in Armed Conflict" (CUP) was published in 2011.
