Dr. Andrew Bell is an assistant professor of international studies at Indiana University and a non-resident fellow at the Center for U.S. Politics at University College London (UCL). Dr. Bell earned a Ph.D. in political science from Duke University, a J.D. and M.A. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an M.T.S. from Duke Divinity School. He has held fellowships with the Modern War Institute at the U.S. Military Academy, the Institute of Security and Conflict Studies at George Washington University, the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership at the U.S. Naval Academy, and the Department of Law and Policy at the International Committee of the Red Cross. Dr. Bell has served as an active duty and reserve officer in the U.S. Air Force with service in Iraq and Afghanistan.
