Andrew Forde

About/Bio

Dr Andrew Forde is Assistant Professor (Law) at the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University, and Commissioner on the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC). He is the author of 'European Human Rights Grey Zones - The Council of Europe and Areas of Conflict' (Cambridge University Press, 2024) and co-author of 'Russia, the Council of Europe and the European Convention on Human Rights - A Troubled Membership and Its Legacy' (forthcoming Bristol University Press, 2025). He worked for more than 10 years with the Council of Europe and the OSCE, much of which was spent focused on human rights protection in conflict and post-conflict regions.
