Gabrielle Holly is a Research Assistant in Business and Human Rights at the British institute of International and Comparative Law. Gabrielle holds a combined LL.B/BA (Hons) from the University of Western Australia and an LL.M from the London School of Economics and Political Science where she completed her dissertation on the role of transnational tort litigation in regulating the human rights impacts of business. Gabrielle is an Australian qualified lawyer with seven years’ experience practicing in commercial dispute resolution at Magic Circle firms both in Australia and in the UK. She has worked extensively on cross-border disputes and on matters in the business and human rights space, including advising multinationals in the extractive and commodities industries on legal exposure arising from their overseas activities, and on the implementation of voluntary human rights frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
