1. Nottingham International Law and Security Centre Workshop. On Thursday 19 June, the Nottingham International Law and Security Centre (NILSC) is organising a hybrid afternoon workshop on the relationship between core international crimes — genocide, apartheid, and forced displacement — in the light of multiple, overlapping cases, before international and domestic courts. The event will take place in E07, Monica Partridge, University Park Campus from 1-6pm. There will be three panels organised over the course of the afternoon chaired by Professor Olympia Bekou, Dr Hemi Mistry, and Dr Natalie Hodgson. The event is being organised by Dr. Victor Kattan and Professor Gerhard Kemp from UWE, Bristol.  To register for the event in person or to join online, see here.

2. Hague Yearbook of International Law Symposium: Territory in International Law. The Hague Yearbook of International Law is organising a symposium on “Territory in International Law”, due to be published in Volume 39 (2026). They welcome contributions on all topics relating to the broadly defined topic: What is (a) territory under international law? Contributions could be theoretical in nature or focus on a particular practical problem. They are currently inviting paper proposals of max 600 words in length to be submitted to hagueyearbook {at} gmail(.)com by 30 June 2025. The deadline for full-length articles based on the selected paper proposals will be in February 2026. See the full Call for Proposals here.

3. Pre-conference Workshop: Narratives in International Courts and Tribunals. Convened by the Interest Group on International Courts and Tribunals of the Latin American Society of International Law (SLADI/LASIL), this workshop will take place online on 25 June 2025, at 3:00 p.m. (CET) / 10:00 a.m. (GMT-3). 4. Call for Applications: 5th Kırımlı Dr. Aziz Bey International Humanitarian Law Competition & Advanced Summer School. This summer school and competition will take place between 15 – 19 September 2025 in Heybeliada, İstanbul, Türkiye. The Competition & the Advanced Summer School are organized by the Istanbul Center for International Law (ICIL) and Türk Kızılay (Turkish Red Crescent), with the contribution of the ICRC. The competition’s main theme for this edition will be the fundamental principles of IHL. The early bird application deadline is 30 June 2025. The registration fee covers food and accommodation.
