Verónica Gómez
Verónica Gómez is a judge of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. She was a Senior Specialist at the OAS Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (1998-2009) and an adviser to the Argentine State in its initiatives before the United Nations Human Rights Council (2010-2012). Since 2011, she has been a professor at the Universidad Nacional de San Martin (UNSAM) and was the Director of Education at its International Center for Political Studies (CIEP-UNSAM). In 2019, she was elected President of the Global Campus of Human Rights, a distinguished network of universities headquartered in Italy, with regional programs in Europe, the Balkans, Africa, the Caucasus, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East, dedicated to human rights education and the promotion of democracy at the local, regional and global level.
